Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup dukka spice mix
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Extra olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the flatbread dough by mixing the flour, water, olive oil, and salt in a bowl until a smooth dough forms. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a thin circle.
- Sprinkle each flatbread with dukka spice mix, pressing it gently into the dough.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy and golden.
- Blend the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and parsley in a food processor until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the flatbreads warm with a generous dollop of herbed houmous. Drizzle with extra olive oil if desired.
