Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining it with warm water in a large bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Mix in the flour, 1/4 cup olive oil, and salt. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
