Ingredients
- 200g high-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
- 150ml full-fat coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare a heatproof bowl by placing the chopped dark chocolate in it.
- Heat the coconut milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.
- Pour the hot coconut milk over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 2 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt.
- Stir the mixture gently with a spatula until smooth and fully combined.
- Add the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until well incorporated.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
- Scoop small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls using your hands.
- Dust the truffles with cocoa powder, rolling them gently to coat evenly.
- Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Additional Notes
For a different flavor profile, consider adding a teaspoon of espresso powder or a splash of your favorite liqueur to the chocolate mixture. You can also roll the truffles in finely chopped nuts or shredded coconut for added texture.
