Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining it with 1 cup of warm water in a small bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Mix the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Create a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Incorporate the chopped black olives into the dough during the last few minutes of kneading.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
