  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 8 hot dog buns

Instructions

  1. Prepare a food processor. Add the chickpeas, oats, onion, garlic, soy sauce, tomato paste, smoked paprika, cumin, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Blend the mixture until it forms a thick, cohesive dough. You may need to scrape down the sides of the processor a few times.
  3. Shape the dough into 8 equal-sized logs, resembling hot dogs.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the skillet if necessary.
  5. Cook the vegan hot dogs in the skillet for about 7-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.
  6. Serve the hot dogs in buns with your choice of condiments.
